Cara Putnam, Canyon Crest K-9 Training Center Dog Trainer/Instructor, has been training dogs as a full time career since 2003.
She has over 13 years working for large corporations as a successful operations and people manager and trainer. But, Cara made
the decision to leave the corporate world and pursue her own visions and today has turned a life long love into a career as a
professional dog trainer.
In 1999, Cara started training her own dogs with Ron when they were puppies. She then completed private training lessons with
both of her dogs at 6 months old and continued on with Pace’s instruction including his controlled personal protection
training. She was motivated to help other people achieve what she had achieved with her dog in hopes that others could enjoy and
experience the human dog bond that had brought so much joy to her family’s life. It was around that time that she decided
to learn how to train dogs from Ron and completed his trainer/instructor course.
Cara is currently the instructor for our dog obedience training, puppy pre-school and tracking programs. She currently trains
over 100 dogs and their people each year and has experience with over 50 different breeds of dogs. She specializes in being able
to take any person with any dog thru the program and achieve results that allow our customers to not only live with and enjoy
their dogs but really learn what it takes to understand, communicate and control their canine companion.
